Ladies and gentlemen, after some months of really hard work, we all at Flixxo’s team are proud to announce the release of our first version.
On June 25th we will start sending the first invites to download and use the platform, a fully functional desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux that supports p2p BitTorrent video distribution and rewards users and content creators with Flixx tokens.
Even though we have a circular token economy in which there is no need from our side to release tokens to fuel the ecosystem, at this stage we do have a limited amount of advertisers, so we will cash away 250,000 Flixx during the first 100 days of testing to incentivize the adoption of the platform. The advertising marketplace will be filled with random commercials and our AI bot will handle the bidding. Then 100 Flixx will be injected into the marketplace every hour to keep the machine working. Based on the performance of the platform, we may choose to let new users get into the game and/or add more Flixx to the bounty. Flixx from incentive program won’t be issued yet, as we will use current company’s tokens for the testing phase.
We are aware that every release of a new technology comes with mistakes and the need for adjustments, so we have adopted an ant as our mascot: we are ready to find the bugs along with our community and to learn from them to improve the platform. Teamwork and community feedback is key part of our vision. So, until we learn from our users’ behaviors, until we understand how to lean the distribution on them we will only allow 10,000 users into the ecosystem.
