It’s been a couple of years now since Tres de Febrero University, in Buenos Aires, took the lead into producing short form content. By 2014 their endeavor turned into UN3.tv, a TV channel, a mobile phone app and a popular destination in YouTube, with more than 25MM views. Flixxo is proud to announce that UN3 content will be available in the platform starting June 25th.
With more than 300 hours of original content, UN3.tv is one of the most prolific and renowned producers of web series around the world. Focusing on telling good stories and the implementation of new technologies (they have shoot the first 360º web series in Latin America), their content has been recognized with dozens of awards (Rome Web Awards, BAWebFest, Rio Web Fest, Cinema Jove, Raindance Web Fest, Berlin Web Fest, Miami Web Fest and more)
Some of the best series produced by UN3 will be available at Flixxo’s launch with subtitles in English (Tiempo Libre, Psicosomatica, El maravilloso parque Hollister, El galan de Venecia), while other videos will be presented in Spanish and will be subtitled to other languages in the upcoming months. “We expect to use the Flixx we are going to earn to subtitle more content”, Said Rocío Carbajo, Coordinator of UN3.
Rocio continued “Web series are getting serious, the production of such content has grown both in quantity and quality in the last few years. We’ve been following Flixxo since we first heard of them at BAWebFest and we are super excited on being part of their journey and explore the possibilities that blockchain and p2p sharing can bring to this universe!”
Flixxo has noticed the potential of web series and the problem they face looking for distribution and monetization channels and is committed into reaching more producers. Sergio Sosa, part of Flixxo’s Talent team has already confirmed the company is going to sponsor the upcoming Bilbao and Marseilles Web Festivals in October.
